From October 14 to 15, the Russian-Kyrgyz Educational Forum, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and Rossotrudnichestvo, was held at the site of the Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn. The international Data Storage Technologies Forum took place on December 8th and 9th, 2023. The forum is organized by the Data Algorithm Technology Center with the support of the Data Storage Product Line.

The head of the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Mikhail Mikhailovich Rovnyagin presented a report on the topic: “A method for accelerating data exchange for a decentralized computer network,” co-authored by employees and graduate students and undergraduates of the Laboratory: Dmitry Mikhailovich Sinelnikov, Rovnyagina Tatyana Aleksandrovna, Eroshev Artyom Aleksandrovich, Yakovenko Ivan Alekseevich, Khudoyarova Anastasia Mikhailovna.

We hasten to inform you that on November 7, 2023, the course "DevOps Technologies" was completed, the authors of which are the head of the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, Ph.D., Associate professor of the NRNU MEPhI Rovnyagin Mikhail Mikhailovich and the head of the Laboratory's Big Data direction – Sinelnikov Dmitry Mikhailovich. As part of the training, students have mastered both theoretical and practical skills of deploying their own applications in industrial environments.

The Russian Bakal-M based computer of the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data of the NRU MEPhI now has Russian input devices - the Beshtau keyboard and mouse.

During the purchase for the MEPhI Digital Center, the BigData&AI laboratory received new GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3050 EAGLE OC video cards and the laptop with the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3050 accelerator. The new equipment will significantly speed up our research and development, as well as the performance of complex computational tasks.

On December 7, 2022, a pitch session was held at MEPhI, an event that provided an opportunity for student teams, young teachers and scientists to present their startups and potentially commercialized results of research and development activities to the private investment company Kama Flow and the NTI venture Fund. We are glad to inform you that the finalists of the pitch session were the employees of our BigData&AI laboratory of MEPhI.

As part of the scientific equipment of the laboratory, a server based on the new domestic Baikal-M processor with ARM architecture appeared. The server is already used in the laboratory's scientific projects related to decentralized data storage in heterogeneous systems.

The first stage of creating an IT infrastructure for development at the Laboratory has been completed.

The main goals of HPCLab are advanced scientific research, train and retrain highly qualified personnel at MEPhI, develop and conduct modern training courses to gain the Institute of Intelligent Cybernetic Systems (IIСS) a leading position in the field of AI and BigData.
