AI for AVTOVAZ

HPCLab employees visited Europe's largest car assembly plant and discussed the implementation of joint projects with MEPhI in the field of AI.

The interaction between MEPhI and AvtoVAZ is carried out within the framework of the implementation of a grant on the creation and development of the Research Center for AI in the field of transport and logistics of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.

From July 9 to 10, a delegation from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI visited the main production site of AvtoVAZ JSC (Tolyatti).

Members of the delegation:

• deputy Director of the AI ​​Center Borodachev Yuri Vladimirovich,
• Head of the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data (HPCLab) Rovnyagin Mikhail Mikhailovich,
• Head of Big Data HPCLab Dmitry Mikhailovich Sinelnikov.

In a short time, members of the delegation visited the plant’s workshops and held a series of meetings on the launch of new joint projects in the field of using AI in the tasks facing AvtoVAZ JSC. Members of the delegation were impressed by the scale of the enterprise, which could be appreciated from the 24th floor of the Plant Management building and the modern automated assembly line of new Vesta models. Members of the HPCLab team of NRNU MEPhI are pleased to have the opportunity to take part in this joint project and contribute to the development of AvtoVAZ JSC technologies.
